-Main introduction of V2O5 :

Vanadium pentoxide is a metal oxide with a molecular formula of V2O5. It is widely used in metallurgy, chemical industry. The V2O5 is mainly used for smelting ferrovanadium. More than 80% of V2O5 is used as alloy additives. The vanadium pentoxide is also used as inorganic chemicals, chemical reagents, enamels and magnetic materials.

-Use of V2O5:

An armor-piercing projectile made of vanadium steel can penetrate 40 cm thick steel plates. However, in the iron and steel industry, instead of adding pure metallic vanadium to steel to make vanadium steel, vanadium-containing iron ore is directly used to smelt vanadium steel. Adding a few percent of vanadium into steel can greatly increase the elasticity and strength of steel.The vanadium steel has excellent wear resistance and burst resistance. It also can withstand high temperatures and extreme cold. Therefore, it is commonly used in automobiles, aviation, railways and electronic technology.
